She has lived underwater, walked the seafloor in an atmospheric suit, piloted submersibles, led scientific expeditions and carried those observations into government, books, film and the global Hope Spots network.
Career
An oceanographer and field scientist who led more than 100 expeditions, logged more than 7,000 hours underwater, served as NOAA Chief Scientist and founded Mission Blue.
Signature Contributions
